WebAssembly, or Wasm for short, is a stack-based virtual machine that runs on existing browser engines. It is a cross-platform binary portable target for language compilers. WebAssembly makes it possible to build high performance Single Page Applications (SPA) without relying on JavaScript and/or other front-end frameworks.
